A Little About Me

I’m Sara, a commercial photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I specialize in food, beverage, product, and lifestyle photography. I’m so glad you’re here!

 

After studying Photography and Art History at Purdue University, I moved to Portland to start my career. I spent 5 years at a commercial studio moving up from assistant to photographer. Throughout my time there, I was mentored by 3 photographers who each have over 30 years of experience. Their tutelage sharpened my art-informed eye, honing my skills in lighting, composition, styling, and Photoshop. I learned on the sets of large-scale shoots for product, sportswear, portraiture, food, beverage, and packaging. For the last 2 years, I’ve been freelance, using my unique mix of technical skills and fine art background to help tell compelling brand stories and bring them to the next level.
